Getting Here

  • The church is located on George Street in Edinburgh’s New Town, making it straightforward to reach on foot from the city centre.

    • 7 minutes (500m) from Waverley Station

    • 5 minutes (400m) from Princes Street

    • 4 minutes (290m) from St Andrew Square

    Cycle parking is available nearby.

  • A wide range of Lothian Buses serve the city centre, with stops on Princes Street and surrounding streets within a short walk of the church.

    Regional coach services also stop close by, including Ember services on George Street.

  • Edinburgh Waverley Station is the nearest mainline station, with frequent services across Scotland and the UK.

    From the station, the church is an easy walk through the city centre, with step-free routes available.

  • Edinburgh Trams provide direct connections from Edinburgh Airport and across the city.

    The nearest stops are:

    • St Andrew Square — 4 minutes (290m)

    • Princes Street — 5 minutes (400m)

  • Getting into the church

    The main portico entrance provides ramped access and is the recommended entrance for wheelchair users and anyone requiring step-free access. This entrance leads directly onto the Sanctuary floor.

    There is also step-free access to The Undercroft Café via the ramp on the east side of the building.

    Inside the building

    A wheelchair-accessible lift provides access between levels, including down to The Undercroft Café. An accessible toilet is also available.

    Assistance dogs

    Guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance dogs are all welcome in the church. Please speak to our Welcome volunteers if you need water or any assistance during your visit.

    Hearing loop

    A hearing loop is available throughout the church for those who use hearing aids or listening devices
